BB Cream Comparison

Remember the samples I got from Fr3b? So I decided to compare all of them so that it might help some people decide.

Swatch of 4 BB creams

I swatched the cream and compared it with my existing BB cream from Skin79. From the looks of it, Skinfood is distinctlydarker and has a more pronounced pink undertone. BRTC Jasmine Water has a slight pink undertone, more towards neutral. Dr Jart Silver Label is quite like my Skin79, tending towards the more yellow side of the spectrum. Based on the colours, I will definitely not wear the skinfood one because I don’t have pink undertone. It’d look horrible on me.

I also applied some on the back of my hand. My vein being the centre line, I applied only on one side so you can see the effects.

See? It’s significantly pinkier on the side with the Skinfood one. This does not lend a natural look to my skin tone at all. However it has a nice smell from the added fragrance.

The BRTC also lends this slightly pasty look to my hand. Maybe I applied too thick, but I don’t foresee it being a good match for me.

So far I like Dr Jart Silver Label the best. It seems to match my skin tone – at least on my hand – and the coverage seems good, a little thick for my liking, but it’s good as makeup itself. It doesn’t really cover pores though; or perhaps my pores are too large. Gee. That is the overstatement of the year.

So I think if I had to choose one to buy after I finish my Skin79, it’d be the Dr Jart one. But now it’s back to getting more samples from Fr3b. :P
