I was at Ion Orchard looking for lunch. I decided to stay away from the usual haunts of Soup Spoon and Burger King and decided to take a twirl around the basement 4 food street. I spotted this stall that sells Thai food and decided to give it a try. Even though it’s a stall it has some seats behind their kitchen and so I had lunch there.
I had a Thai beef salad ($6.90). It is a warm salad made with beef, beansprouts, cilantro, chilli and other greens. It’s pretty spicy, despite me asking for medium heat. The dressing is very wet, to the point they served me with a pair of chopsticks and a spoon. I love how they used a mix of cuts of beef – I ate some belly and the usual beef slices sort of slices. I really liked this salad, apart from the fact it’s just way too spicy for me. I was tearing towards the end of the meal. Also, you must have noticed that purple drink next to my salad. It’s actually a calamansi/lime cordial blended ice drink. Its quite nice, just that the unnatural colour makes it really iffy.
Apart from salads they sell padthai, and curry. I really recommend going there if you need a quick meal, or something special yet affordable in Ion Orchard. Noo’s Thai Recipe is located in B4 of Ion Orchard, opposite Petit Provence and Subway.

Yummy =)
