Dearest Angela and Su treated me to lunch at Queen and Mangosteen at Vivo to celebrate my birthday! Queen and Mangosteen serves British pub food with an Asian twist. Visit their official website here.

Pimm’s and lemonade. See the coaster? I was the queen and Su was the mangosteen. Ha!
Spicy minced beef, Thai basil, and Bird’s Eye chilli served with corn chips and sour cream. I love the beef! I want to recreate this dish so badly.
Mini hamburgers with fries, as advertised in the Straits Times Life! some time ago. Each patty is about 6cm in diameter. And their marinade and mix gave it a meatball chew and texture! And it’s cooked to well-done, which I like, without losing juice. Commendable!
Fish and chips with curry tartar. I dig the tartar sauce, not so much the miniscule pieces of fish.

Anyway I enjoyed lunch and the company! And thank you to the girls for getting me a copy of The Last Watch, the book that’s been on my wishlist since … forever. So yay! Thank you thank you. And guess what, this is my first official birthday present this year. And it’s not even wrapped up nicely. :P (Demanding me, yes). And thanks for enduring my nonsense the entire day about how I woke up feeling like the world owes me something. Heh.
