Despite already given prior warning to look out for a present coming to my mailbox, I forgot all about until, well, it appeared. My dear Sulz had mailed me a present all the way from Malaysia! Now a soft reveal:
The big package. Complete with a cute label by POS Malaysia.
A card and a gift! The gift is interesting!
It looks like a cookbook. Wait, it looks like a collection of quirky retro pictures or postcards. Or a journal with a real cute cover.
NOPE. All wrong. It’s actually a book for me to write down my own collection of recipes! How cool is that.
It’s divided into different sections like soups, party food, baked cookies and cakes, etc. and it’s got retro pictures sporadically inserted into the book. I love these American Dream 60′s pictures. Guess that’s why I like Pleasantville, huh.
And in the book there’s various cooking tips. This one is about how to tell if an egg is fresh.
I really really loved this present. Even though I already have a little notebook where I write my baking recipes and paste pictures of my stuff, this book is waaaaaay cooler and professional. It’s also a reminder that I should try cooking, and not just stick to baking.
So a loud mucho graciasto Sulz for sending me such a wonderful present! Now all we have to do is haul your ass down to Singapore some time in the next decade.
Surprise birthday present!
