Wendy’s

It’s been a few months since the dreadful Liat Towers flood. It’s finally time for me to go and eat at Wendy’s. I walked into the restaurant and was confronted by queue system that reminds me of a bus interchange. Basically, one long snaking queue, like a bank, which opens up to all the counters. Since I went at a non-peak time, I didn’t have to queue.

I ordered a quarter pound single beef burger with cheese meal which comes with a drink and fries.

I opened up the burger and was utterly disgusted. Why is the tomato sauce and spilling out like this? THe patty looks sad. It looks like dried corn beef. The taste was also lackluster. If not for the copious amounts of tomato sauce and mayonnaise, the burger would have been exceeding dry. I couldn’t discern anything special about the bun; I still prefer the bun used at Burger King for the grilled chicken burger.

Overall, Wendy’s is one of those go-once-in-your-life places. Not worth a return visit. If they can’t do a quarter pounder (feels more like a 1/7 pound to me) properly, I don’t think I want to try the other things on the menu, just saying. Frankly, at about the same price point, McDonald’s quarter pounder was much nicer.
